Magic Wheelchair approached us to create a captivating donation experience for their debut at San Diego Comic Con. The non-profit's director envisioned a "money vacuum UFO" for collecting cash donations. We transformed this concept into a show-stopping centerpiece— a scratch-built Area 51-style money vacuum. 

The aluminum finished UFO “hovered” above a detailed miniature terrain. Utilizing traditional miniature building techniques, animated LED lights, and a hidden vacuum/blower, we created a wooden crate to conceal the power source and donation storage. To align with Magic Wheelchair's inclusive mission of designing costumes for kids in wheelchairs, we included a small alien figure in a wheelchair. Both kids and adults delighted in placing cash donations into the UFO's tractor beam, witnessing their money vanish into the alien spaceship.
